' The Missing Bell ' Dining Experience
Keiko Yamaga-White The Slow Food Movement The Missing Bell is a celebration of good home cooking from around the world. Here is an opportunity to enjoy the conviviality that should accompany good food; conversation, comradeship, friendship and laughter, with our fellow humans. Eating at The Missing Bell is an evening experience and is part of a Slow Food movement that originated in Italy in 1989 and is now spreading throughout Europe. So we source seasonal local produce wherever possible. From the enjoyment of canapés through four, five, six or even the eight courses of a Japanese banquet, to coffees afterwards, relaxing in good company with time to talk to each other, is at the heart of the experience. If you want to eat quickly and rush to the cinema, then our Dining Experience evenings are not suitable for you. If you are a family, friends, or distant relatives, that enjoy eating good food together in a convivial atmosphere, then we hope that 'The Missing Bell' is just right for you. So come for dinner and stay for breakfast at 'The Missing Bell' at Eastward House. Organic Produce Our kitchen's principle source of fresh vegetables is selected from local Island producers, providing a source of fresh-from-the-earth, seasonal food with ecologically friendly, very low ‘food miles’.
